We were approached by a Tenerife home care company, Tenerife Carers, to produce a website and logo for the firm to help them launch their service in the Canary Islands.

The Brief: Basil and Percy is a children’s novel written for readers aged 5 to 7. The author needed a website that would not only introduce the story but also capture the imagination of parents, teachers and children. The site had to bring the world of Basil and Percy to life and provide a platform for updates, resources and future book releases. We also produced a range of graphics for the site.
The Challenge
With such a vibrant story full of woodland creatures and valuable lessons, the website needed to reflect the charm and warmth of the book itself. Tenerife Web Design’s task was to adapt a WordPress theme and customise it for the project. The key was to ensure it felt playful, engaging and accessible while remaining easy for the author to update.
The Result
The finished website blends storytelling with design. It makes clever use of imagery, colour and typography to create a welcoming environment. These combined elements draw readers into the world of Basil and Percy. Built on WordPress but customised for purpose, the site is flexible and responsive. The site is perfectly suited to promoting the children’s novel both now and in the future.
