La Plagne: The World’s Most Popular Ski Resort

La Plagne, France, holds the crown as the world’s most visited ski destination. When combined with neighbouring Les Arcs, the wider Paradiski area becomes the third-largest ski resort on the planet.

After spending several winter seasons in the resort, we saw a clear need for a dedicated resource to showcase everything La Plagne has to offer – from its 11 unique villages to its vast network of ski lifts and pistes.

Creating this platform was no small task. Just producing the 360° video content took over three months. But the result is something we’re genuinely proud of.

Our site, La Plagne 360, gives an in-depth look at every piste and lift in the area. Visitors can explore immersive 360-degree videos, preview clips and interactive Google Maps data that bring the slopes to life before they’ve even packed their bags.

We’ve also loaded the site with everything you need to know – from where to stay and how to get around to nightlife tips and local guides that help visitors make the most of their ski holiday in La Plagne.

Using Video to Stand Out in the Ski Travel Market

We knew from the start that cracking into the busy ski travel space wouldn’t be easy. It’s a competitive market with tons of content already out there – so we had to bring our A-game.

To grab attention and start building a loyal following, we focused heavily on video content and social media marketing. Our team created a series of eye-catching edits that were tailor-made to showcase the highlights of La Plagne 360 and get people excited about the site.

Right from the get-go of building the La Plagne 360 website, we knew that most visitors would be browsing on their phones. That’s why we focused on creating a fast-loading, fully responsive site that looks and works great on any screen size – whether it’s a phone, tablet or laptop.

Our analytics confirmed we were on the right track – around 70% of users access La Plagne 360 on mobile. With content like preview videos, La Plagne piste maps, village guides and resort tips, it made perfect sense for people to dip into the site while on the move – even mid-ski day.

Hybrid App

La Plagne 360: From Website to Android App

La Plagne 360 is the most detailed online guide to La Plagne ski resort in France – and it was built with a fully responsive design from day one. That made converting the site into a hybrid Android app a natural next step.

We launched a dedicated version of the site packaged as an APK file for Android users, giving skiers and snowboarders on-the-go access to all the resort info, piste maps and village guides.

ASO: Getting Seen in the Stores

As part of the app rollout, we put a strong focus on App Store Optimisation (ASO) to ensure the app was visible to the right audience. With rich, well-structured content and strong metadata, the app ranked well and gained consistent downloads.

Intermediate Ski Routes in Champagny

Since most skiers and snowboarders fall into the intermediate category, we produced a series of videos highlighting the best blue pistes across La Plagne.

This particular edit focuses on the sweeping runs in the Champagny area – a quieter part of the resort with plenty of space to explore. Similar videos guide users through other top sections of La Plagne, helping them plan memorable days on the mountain.
